"It's not a typhoon, it's a super typhoon"

That's right. We've got another typhoon coming. And it's higher than the highest possible danger rating. For a good chuckle, take a look at this map:)

Current estimates are for the storm to hit us on Sunday early morning, but I'll keep you posted.

Ooh! Exciting. Apparently tropical storm Erin is beating the crap out of southern Texas right now. It hasn't officially been designated a Super Tropical Storm, but I think we can all agree that Tropical Storm Erin is pretty super...

When I was in Taipei, I stayed up pretty much all night with my hosts the night before a typhoon hit, when I got back to the hotel at 4AM they were insisting that I stay. Instead, I caught what was literally one of the last planes that was allowed to depart. When I arrived in Hong Kong, the news was all about the resulting mudslides in Taiwan - just cheering you up!

Hurricane Dean is also heading toward the Carribean so you're by no means alone. By all measn, keep in touch.
